Technology Overview

SAQQARA's Commerce Data Management (CDM) platform provides the taxonomy management, item master management, aggregated catalog and publishing environment for our customers. Built around a comprehensive framework of data cleansing methods, exception management, and catalog management tools, CDM enables the detailed and dynamic management of item master product data and catalogs. All of this functionality is delivered as web-based on-demand services requiring almost no IT support.

CDM for Item Master Management Platform

The CDM platform is designed to support the full item master data quality process from initial setup to on-going quality management. The CDM platform includes:

• Creating or enhancing content taxonomies
• Cleansing legacy data through normalization, attribution and applying business rules
• Enriching content through content sourcing
• Workflow and exception process within the content management teams and processes
• Reporting and query builder

The CDM for Item Master Management is designed to work with all ERP systems including:

• SAP
• Oracle/PeopleSoft

CDM for e-Procurement Platform

The CDM platform automates the set of processes that are required for the initial setup and ongoing maintenance of the customer's master buying catalog, including:

• Administration of users
• Catalog groups
• Standard buyer rules
• Exception roles and routing
• Catalog reporting
• Master item maintenance

The catalog user interface was developed with non-technical users in mind and supports multiple languages as required by our customers. Powerful search technologies allow SAQQARA users to search for items by:

• Category (including supplier-filtered or manufacturer-filtered)
• Index
• Part number or keyword
• Search within results
• StepSearch® parametric search
